This position requires a Career Pathways Level 3 certification and no schedule restrictions are allowed. Requirement for management experience, in the field is preferred but not required.

About Us

Precious Cargo Preschool & Childcare is a dynamic educational learning organization dedicated to fostering growth and development in children. We welcome children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years old, offering early learners' programs, preschool classes, and Pre-K for children preparing for kindergarten. We pride ourselves on the dedication and hard work of our educators, creating a thriving environment where learning and growth flourish.

Position: Site Administrator (Hartville, Ohio)

Location: Precious Cargo Preschool & Childcare

Starting Pay: $39,000 (based on qualifications, experience, and education)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Site Administrator overseeing all day-to-day operations at the facility. Supervise daily administrative functions such as billing, payroll, and record keeping

  • Manage staff schedules, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide leadership within the team

  • Greet parents and visitors, answer questions, arrange meetings, lead tours,

  • Coordinate communication with parents and staff, ensuring transparency and timely responses

  • Monitor and improve classroom performance, safety, and overall program delivery

  • Supervise all daily and weekly tasks including reviewing staff and children’s schedules, observing classroom management, and overseeing curriculum implementation

  • Handle facility maintenance and ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met

  • Work closely with leadership to develop and implement educational programs and improve services

  • Develop and implement a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and high performance. Manage, conduct, and document staff meetings

  • Plan and implement family engagement activities

  • Ensure all required paperwork for children, staff, and licensing are obtained and organized promptly in accordance to state licensing regulations (including required emergency plans and drills.) 

Business Management: Runs all aspects of a childcare facility from setting up the security system to creating the budget. Besides being detail-orientated and organized, they need to keep up with federal and state daycare laws and requirements

First Aid: Must have a good knowledge of child safety requirements and be up-to-date on first aid protocol

Excellent Communication Skills: As the face of the childcare facility, our administrator must be an excellent communicator, being able to confidently take prospective parents on a tour, have tough conversations, write newsletters, and run staff meetings

Good Crisis Management: Must have strong crisis management abilities, being able to remain cool and composed in a crisis

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Clear background check (required for all employees)

Career Pathways Level 3 certification

Must be a team player who is dedicated, reliable, and thrives in a collaborative environment

No schedule restrictions are permitted for this position — dedication and flexibility are essential
